"A BIO . . .
. . . WHO IS
LON LINDSEY

My name is Lon Lindsey and I am married to my wife, Jan. It is our hope that our religious faith will be a source in guiding us as we continue to make decisions for ourselves and influence others whom we come into contact. We have two children who are now both grown and leading their own lives.

I am a former public school administrator in the Louisville/Jefferson County school system. My wife was a high school English teacher in the same system.  Perhaps my greatest accomplishment was being named Kentucky Middle School Counselor of the Year in 1984. Much of my time was spent as a middle school guidance Counselor helping and guiding children and parents. I was also treasurer of my church, Sunday school teach and camp counselor.

In 1983 I formed my own company, JAN-L Marketing and in 1993 I incorporated.  I had an interest in "Multi-Level" Marketing ever since I was introduced to the concept via an Amway meeting in the late seventies, but it was when I received something in the mail that told how I could build a business without meetings and totally do it through the mail that I really got interested. In fact, I had such a passion for the industry I basically came home from work and did another eight hour "stint" on what I consider my second career. That career grew into a passion which ultimately allowed me to quit my job early and work network marketing full time. I can truly say it was a pleasure seeing my children off to school rather than their seeing me off to work each school day.

I began my MLM mail-order quest with a company called International Home Shopping in which I became a state director for Kentucky. Within three years, I had built a solid business only to find that the company did away with it's multi-level division. It was off to another company . . . FFP .Financial Fitness Program. I again built up a nice business all by mail and really had something going when I was notified that the business was being closed down for what was called lack of sponsoring. It was on to another company, "Bykota," in which I built up a downline of over 1,500 distributors. I thought I had arrived, but the door of success was shut in my face when I found out from one of my downline members that we were "out of business." As you might imagine, this was getting old as my goal was to build a future as well as a present, but starting over and over again was certainly not what I had in mind.

I spent the next five months looking at companies, but with a different focus. This time I was looking for companies that had been around for awhile . . companies that I would not have to worry about whether they would be around next year. I was shocked as there were only a handful and now I understand why.
Not only did I find a company that had been around for a long time, I found a company that cared for people and had wonderful quality products that made people's lives better . I found a company that had a heritage and represented "apple pie, Chevrolet, and USA" . . .a company that when I mentioned the name, people smiled rather than walk the other way . .. a company I could build my future on without worrying about whether it would be around tomorrow.

I have been able to utilize many of my experiences in order to develop a variety of business-building strategies ranging from mail-order, classified ads/phone systems and Internet business building. The Internet has opened a whole new door to business building. I currently author a FREE online newsletter called
"The Master Networker . . . The Art of Building A business." Should you be online, feel free to subscribe by clicking here.

I have also developed a very valuable tool that has helped thousands determine if they are really cut out for their own home-based business.  I've had many tell me it was such a valuable tool for them that it made a huge difference in how they approached building a business.  It's called the
HomeBizQuiz and it will give you your own potential business success rate based on nine critical factors I found that determine success in our industry.  If you have not taken it yet, please do by going to http://www.homebizquiz.net

My goals are simple. To be a source of help for others so that they can make a difference in their lives for I know if I can help people attain their
goals, I will certainly attain mine.
