BENEFITS OF BUILDING A BUSINESS A NEW MARKETING TECHNIQUE Combining mailorder marketing with network marketing opened up a host of new income opportunities - opportunities for literally unlimited wealth possibilities and extraordinary benefits that were never before thought possible. Then, along came the Internet! All of a sudden, network marketing became international in scope. If that isn't enough, building a business has become instantaneous, but let's look at the benefits of building a business . . .regardless if you do it on a "person to person" basis, via mail or via Internet. Extraordinary benefits are the kind that are out of the ordinary, such as unusual, exceptional, or even remarkable. They are benefits that are not normally associated with traditional jobs or businesses. DEVELOPING LIFE-LONG FRIENDSHIPS . . . . . . is an extraordinary benefit that comes from building a business. By building a business with the help of other people, quite often many life-long friendships are made because of the common bond or need to develop a second income. ============================================= Frequently, the greatest thing we can give another person is the gift of encouragement. --Anon ============================================ Having a common goal with many other people is a very natural way to develop lasting friendships. The need for an additional income never dissipates or goes away, and neither do the friendships that you gain along the way. A short time ago, I travelled 700 miles to Myrtle Beach to meet two people I had never met before, but they had already become friends due our having a common interest . . . to build a business . . .a network marketing business. Whether the business stays or goes, the friendship is still there, thus becoming more valuable than the business itself. The need for more money is always there, and no matter how much money is made, there seems to always be a desire to make more. Some would call it greed. Some would call it seeking a better lifestyle. Some would simply call it a challenge. Whatever it is, money generally is the first motivator with secondary motivators accompanying as well. As you build your business, you will gain alot of new friends. It is a great benefit and/or reward for working hard . . . because a life without friends is empty, meaningless and at times may even seem pointless. It pays to have a lot of good friends - besides, making friends is a fantastic way to earn a living or a second income. You can never have too many friends; therefore, what it all boils down to is this: "People who need people are the luckiest people in the world." WORK AT HOME The ability or opportunity to work at home and play at home is another extraordinary benefit that comes from building a business. Businesses that are built and developed through the mail and Internet can actually be worked in the comfort and privacy of your own home . . or if there are "kids" around, the lack of privacy . What, then, in real terms does this mean? It means that instead of having to go home from one job and then go back out to another job, you can go home, stay home and work at your business in your leisure time whenever you feel like it. It means that if you are tired and don't feel good enough to go to your second job, you don't have to. You can postpone your work until you feel up to it. You only have to work when you want to work; yet you will still get paid just as if you had gone to work every day. The FALLACY of being able to go to work just whenever you want to, is the fact that you must be sure not to fool yourself and all of a sudden become lazy. It means more time for your family, and it means that your business can become a family affair. By working together, you'll get through faster and you will also have more time to play together. One of the things I first discovered about going to work at home was that family and friends didn't see it as my going to work. They didn't take my working at home seriously. You see, many people have been programmed that you have to wake up before 8:00 A.M. . . . put your business or work suit on, commute to work, spend time working for the boss, come home, complain about going to work, and then begin the cycle again the next day. To them, that is going to work. That's simply because they don't know of another way. No one has adequately taught them they don't have to do that. It's hard for them to understand that I can wake up at 8:00 A.M. and not go to bed until 1:00 A.M. They don't understand that I can choose my own hours . . the hours that best suite me . . my body timing. They don't understand it is possible for me to put on a pair of shorts, go to my office and actually run a profitable business. They don't know that I can take off a couple hours and go to a movie with my wife in the middle of the day . . and then come back to work my business. They also don't realize I have paychecks coming in weekly or monthly just as they do, but that I'm not limited to what my boss wants to pay me because I am my boss! Why? Because they are too busy keeping busy. They don't get it! They haven't found the American Dream. I've said this before and I'll say it again; "I love seeing my children off to school rather than their seeing me off to work." To me, that is part of the American Dream! HELPING OTHERS Work can be fun if you like what you are doing and if you are doing it with someone that you want to help. Let your family and friends earn extra money for themselves while they are helping you. It will make everyone happy. It's all in a day's work that can be a fun thing if you let it. It's all up to you. Remember this: "There is no future in any job or business. The future lies in the person who is doing it." DEVELOP YOUR CREATIVE ABILITY Creativity is an art, and is essential and indispensable in the devlopment of a successful business. The real benefit is that by being in business for yourself, you have an outstanding opportunity to express yourself and to develop your activity into something that you might otherwise not be able to do. People have hidden creative talents they don't even know about, because they haven't gotten excited enough about anything to bring that creativeness about. Creativity is developing the art of communicating or expressing one's self for the sake of and for the benefit of their business. It is an art that can be readily and easily developed through a network marketing business. In network marketing, it is not only necessary to learn the business, but it is also necessary to train others. Building a successful network marketing business is a continual process of learning and training others. It is a matter of training a few while they, in turn, train a few more. That is where creativity is so important and so useful. ============================================ Tell me, I forget. Show me, I remember. Involve me, I understand. --Anon ============================================ As you develop a successful business, you will also take pride in your ability to be creative and to develop an understanding among your business associates and friends that you are all in business together for the benefit of each other. Together you will be able to accomplish things that, individually, would be totally impossible to do. Creativity is for everyone's benefit. THE BENEFIT OF DUPLICATION A huge benefit of network marketing is the power of duplication. It's the work smarter rather than harder idea. It's amazing what can happen when one person can create something that is so duplicatable that it results in having hundreds, thousands or tenS of thousands of people participate. Just as a small example, when I started "The Master Networker", it was just me. I went to a dozen friends and invited them to subscribe, but more importantly I set up a duplicatable system whereby it would be easy for them to refer others to subscribe to the Master Networker. Now within two weeks time, The Master Networker subscriber base has grown from one person to over 300 subscribers . . . with growth taking place daily. Networking is the process of people sharing with people . . over and over. When you add a little motivation (the $100.00 prize) it creates interest and causes some people to network even more thus causing total group growth. READY FOR ANOTHER SIMULATION? . . . . . .That's Professoreeze for "Assignment". This brings me to the next simulation. It's called "PERSONAL EXPOSURE THROUGH NETWORKING". The purpose of this simulation is to see what can happen over a period of time when a specific plan is followed and then duplicated over and over again. Here is an opportunity for you to make people aware of what you would like to provide them . . .be it a business opportunity, a poem, a recipe, a quote . . .whatever you would like for people to contact you about. In this instance, consider it an advertising co-op where one or more people have gone together to place their ad in one place . . .as a group. Here is how it will work. I will start the co-op . . . called "The Master Networker Advertising Co-op". I will place an ad in the number one position . . .the first ad in the co-op. (of course my ad will be how a person can subscribe FREE to "The Master Networker". You will place your ad in the number two postion (limited to a five line ad) and your assignment will be to mail to a minimum of ten people asking them to also participate in the Master Networker Co-op. These people should do the same and so on. Through this process of duplication, it is possible for your ad to be read by thousands . . . even tens of thousands of people. Consider this! If you mailed the co-op to ten people and those ten people mailed to ten people, that is already 100 people viewing the co-op. Now when those 100 mail to 10 people, the co-op has now gone to 1,000 people and when these 1,000 mail to ten people, it becomes 10,000. This 10,000 becomes 100,000 and the 100,000 becomes ONE MILLION. And then it's to TEN MILLION . . AND 100 MILLION . . .AND ONE BILLION. Now we know this isn't a perfect world and one of the things you learn in networking is " nothing works out exactly the way you want it or even expect it to." What you have to consider is what is happening over a period of time. So, perhaps the co-op only reaches 100,000 people instead of one million . . or maybe it reaches only 10,000 instead of 100,000. You must look at it in terms of duplication . . . how to duplicate yourself without the same amount of work. Another consideration is some people will mail out more than the minimum ten requested and some will do less. With those factors involved, there is no way to adequately tell what will really happen. The key, however, is that a simple duplicatable process was made available and that is also a key in building your business . . .a simple duplicatable business building plan. My hope, at some point in time, is that you will see this co-op actually come back to you, but there will be numerous additional ads listed under yours showing you how many people have joined the co-op. Perhaps you can report back to me your findings. This simulation will come to you in a separate mailing with instructions. Be looking for it soon after you receive this issue of Master Networker. You do not have to participate if you don't want.
