(Please don't throw oranges at me) My wife says she has earned this vacation putting up with me being online so much. She says I need a break from the computer. She doesn't know that in our car where I keep my spare tire, there is just enough room for a laptop and modem. Let's face it! I'm like an alcoholic with his bottle. Anyway, due to next week being Christmas, there will be no MasterNetworker issue. I do have a desire to send one out the following week. I have always dreamed of being able to send a newsletter out via email while on a beach somewhere. We'll just have to see if that 14.4 modem and old laptop with only one com port can do it. If not, you will hear from me January 8, 1997. To all my Master Networker subscribers, I wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and happy and profitable 1997! This is a reminder that the Master Networker series is purposely set up for the beginning networker or for those considering networking or even for networkers who have yet to be successful in networking. This means that The Master Networker series covers basic networking principles with the purpose of developing a firm foundation for networking. "The Master Networker" will be void of information that will thrust you to a $90,000 income within 90 days or a $15,000 monthly income without doing any work. Why? Because that isn't how networking works. I've been in networking for twelve years, and I have yet to meet anyone who has obtained networking riches without working for it . . .especially $90,000 in ninety days. This series is about the real world of networking. NETWORK MARKETING: JOB VERSUS A BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY TIME, MONEY AND WORK A job opportunity may sound good; however, the requirements are much the same as that of a business opportunity and almost always involve a piece-work type of situation with a limited income potential. The more you work, the more you make; but when you stop working, so does your income. The part-time job opportunities include such things as envelope stuffing and coupon clipping. They may be found at your local church. On the other hand, a business opportunity generally offers an unlimited residual income potential that may be passed on to your estate. A business opportunity may require a substantially larger initial investment, depending on the amount of time you require to get your business started and on a paying basis. Both take time, but may be done on a part-time basis and in most cases from the comfort of your living room. ================================== Even if it burns a little bit low at times, the secret of life is to always keep the flame of hope alive. Bern Williams =================================== Work is work, no matter how you look at it - as either a part-time job or business. Both require part-time work, that at times might seem like full-time work. In business, with few exceptions, you are your own boss. You set your own hours and you are free to dream and work towards making those dreams come true. If both you and the company can withstand the TEST OF TIME, it is both likely and highly probable that those dreams will become a reality. What is also a reality, is the fact that a get-rich potential does not decessarily mean get rich quick. Get rich quick, you will not, unless you happen to be the type person who makes things happen quickly. SUCCESS IN ANY DEGREE . . . . . .will not just happen. It requires you to work hard. Success will also not happen overnight.....and success means different things to different people. You must take it one day or step at a time. As you sponsor individuals into your business downline, communicate with them and train them to help the people in their downlines as well. Teach them to set and work towards their own goals because "we create our tomorrow by what we dream today." You'll enjoy watching and making your business grow because you know that a key to your success is your determination and self-discipline. Somewhere I read a quote that said, "To be successful, the first thing to do is fall in love with your work." What you really have to do to be more specific, is to fall in love with recruiting, training and motivating your downline members; and that hasn't changed in 40 years. There are some things that never change and that is one of them. That's the way it is. When you get paid from a network marketing program, you'll have earned it, but it is worth it. Love what you are doing and believe in yourself and you will be able to make things happen. THE AMERICAN DREAM - A BUSINESS OF YOUR OWN! Millions of people testify to the fact that while it is their dream, it is far from easy to become successful in any business. In a traditional business, it is always long hours plus the extremely high costs of doing business, such as licenses, permits, taxes, insurance and, in most cases, the additional costs that are associated with having employees. It's no picnic, not by a long shot. In network marketing, you can start out with a relatively low cost of doing business; but as your business grows, so does the expense of doing business grow. It's worth it because after awhile your business income will grow a whole lot faster than your expenses. Nothing worth while was ever easy - least of all, starting a business. Thousands of people fail in all kinds of business ventures every month - not so much because they can't do the work, but mainly because they expect to get too much out of the business too fast. ================================ It takes less time to do a thing right than to explain why you did it wrong. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow ================================ NETWORK MARKETING IS IDEAL . . . . . . for people who either want or need to work at home. It's ideal for people who need a second income but who don't necessarily want to leave home and go to a second job. It's ideal for people who want to be their own boss and who want to be able to set their own hours. It's ideal for people who want to go into business for themselves but don't want to have to quit a job in order to do it. It's also ideal for people who may not have a lot of money to start a business on the proverbial shoe string. Anytime you try to start a business without an initial outlay or commitment of many thousands of dollars, you are attempting to start on a shoe string. Without the shoe strings of America, many thousands of ordinary people with average abilities and below average incomes would never be able to experience for themselves the excitement of going into business. There is much pride that goes along with owning a business of your very own and becoming a successful entrepreneur. Do not mortgage the farm! Do not invest money that you cannot afford to spend. In network marketing there are no guarantees, but there is absolutely no reason why anyone should ever get hurt in any way shape or form. ======================================= Winning isn't always a victory and losing isn't always a defeat.
