After just enduring a minor problem with my server and finding out how little I really know about servers, domains and all that kind of stuff, I figured today's article in my series would be appropriate. We must have a desire to work toward what we want and along with that desire is endurance. Today's article . .. . This means that The Master Networker series covers basic networking principles with the purpose of developing a firm foundation for networking. "The Master Networker" will be void of information that will thrust you to a $90,000 income within 90 days or a $15,000 monthly income without doing any work. Why? Because that isn't how networking works. I've been in networking for thirteen years, and I have yet to meet anyone who has obtained networking riches without working for it . . .especially $90,000 in ninety days. This series is about the real world of networking. Get it right the first time! <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> YOUR DESIRE WILL MAKE IT SO! DESIRE IS PARAMOUNT! Network marketing provides the ability/power, the way; you must provide the other half of the equation, which is the human factor - the desire to gain control of your life, to succeed by achieving your goals. If you have the will, you now also have the way in your hot little hands, to attain your dreams. It's all a matter of having a deep-seated desire and the determination to go along with it. those two things, along with a positive attitude and dedicated persistence, shall prevail. THE A, B, C AND D's NEEDED TO SURVIVE/SUCCEED! (A) The deisre ot ATTIAN/ACHIEVE your destiny. (B) The desire to BEGIN/BUILD your destiny. (C) The desire to CONTINUE/CONTROL your destiny. (D) The desire to DISCOVER/DEVELOP your destiny. Desire awareness-becoming aware of the many determining factors that provide the basis and foundation upon which to build will help guide you through the beginning startup stages of developing your new business. You must have the desire to be a team player and promote the merits of teamwork as associated with network marketing. DESIRE TO ACHIEVE AND SUCCEED As strange as it may sound, in order to succeed, you must first fail. The overriding characteristic of successful people is that they all set their goals so high that they are always just beyond their reach. Then, when they finally do reach a goal, they set an even higher goal to strive and reach out for. For example: In high-jumping, athletes compete by setting the bar that they must jump over at a certain height; then if they successfully clear the bar at that height, they set it higher, and then still higher. Eventually, of course, they fail to clear the bar. It is that kind of failure that usually leads to success, because they're never able to beat an opponent, or set a new record if the bar isn't set high enough to make failure a possibility. Successful people think and plan carefully before setting their goals and before picking the height of the bar. But once it's set, they go for it with all they've got. DESIRE TO BUILD THE BEST Strive for the best there is. Don't settle for second-best. The time you spend at your job isn't a dress rehearsal for something better. This is it. This is your life. All your adult life, you will spend half of the hours that you are awake at work! Don't waste any of those hours. Don't blow it. You are a self-made person. Whatever your talents and background, you have the ability to find and keep a business that you will love. You may have to struggle to find your way. You may need some additional training. You may not be able to find a traditional business or organization that you like; instead you may need to invent the business that truly suits you best. Many other people have done it; you can do it too! Encourage the people who are working for you or with you to find ways to love their jobs or businesses, too. Motivated people who are making their dreams come true will do more for your business and for your own morale than the biggest new customer that you could possibly get. Most people have dreams. When you dream, you make sure that you dream a big dream. Big dreams will motivate and become your desires. Children dream about becoming president and about flying to the moon. Children's dreams usually revolve around challenge, excitement and even danger - seldom around salary and the biggest office in the company. Why do we eventually start settling for far smaller accomplishments? Someone actually does become president and/or fly to the moon - why not you? Why is it so hard for adults to visualize a way of making a living that comes close to the exciting things we dreamed of as children? Create a spark in your life. Accept the challenge and find a business that you can really and truly love - a business that you love to be working at all of the time: a business that you'd rather be working at than taking the time to eat. When you do find such a business, then go for it all the way. Love it until it loves you back by rewarding you with all the things that you ever dreamed of. Make your business become the love, or at least a love, of your life. Why work and be sad? Enjoy your life by dreaming big and then by making those dreams come true. Love and enjoy the work, the business and the life that you live. Live life to its fullest extent and be proud to have found your "calling." Go for it - all the way! DESIRE TO CONTROL YOUR FUTURE In a perfect world, our businesses would always be lucrative and personally rewarding. But, we don't live in a perfect world; and on some days, in some businesses, this is painfully apparent. "This isn't the way it should be," we complain. Unfortunately, every day, every business has its unpleasant realities. If these annoyances make us dislike our business, then it's time to make a change. But if we love our work most days, in most ways, then we've got to find a way to handle the ups and downs. Sometimes, the ups and downs of life are very serious ones. The way we handle them could very well make or break us. We must learn to control. We must take one day at a time and play the hand that's dealt us. Sometimes, instead of making our own dreams come true, we find ourselves living out the dreams of our family or other people we care about. You must find a way to let go of the pressures and the weight of responsibility to others. One way might be to get the other members of your family involved in your business and your dreams. Make your business their business, and your dreams their dreams. Make it a family affair. You might eventually combine your skills and interests with theirs into a blended career that appeals to everyone. Terrible things happen to the best of people, and somehow they endure, prevail and go on to rebuild their lives and their careers. People who have a clear purpose in life, and not just a vague hope, can somehow always adapt, control and survive. You don't have the power to control life's events. But you do have the power not to let life's events control you. Think of what lies ahead of you if you don't succeed. You know only too well what lies ahead and you know only too well what you must do to change and control your destiny. Get busy, get to work, get back on track and on your feet, and keep your business alive. You can't always get everything you want, but if you try, sometimes you'll get what you need. Before you take on a new business, take the time to at least consider and prepare for the consequences. Make sure you understand how the demands of a new business will affect all the other parts of your life. The demands of your everyday life always require consideration. Get all family members involved in the decision making so, hopefully you are never forced to try to salvage a bad situation. You can't always easily reverse a bad situation. Before you jump into a new situation, or into a new business with a much increased workload, take the time to look at all the other facets of your life and make sure that the decisions that you make control your life, so that your life does not control you. DESIRE TO DEVELOP THE RIGHT BUSINESS A business is the place where we can earn our living, meet our friends, and dream our dreams. Work and life cannot be separated. If you love your work, if you love your business, you'll love your life. Your business is vital to making you what you are. Today, there is much medical evidence to suggest that, stress and worry about anything, including fats in the diet, can itself raise blood cholesterol levels. The conclusion: Please is good for you. You have a duty and the responsibility of making yourself happy. If you ar happy, your family may be happy. Don't try to separate home life from work life from social life from personal life. It is all just life. Live it, love it, and enjoy it. Developing just the right business may provide you with more time for everything that you enjoy: more time for eating good food, napping, chatting, dancing, swimming, love-making, Internt browsing, telling stories to the children, and just plain relaxing in genera. Everyone should fully enjoy life. Develop your business around your lifestyle, not your lifestyle around your business. In developing the right business, have no regrets about past failures and no fears about the future. Remember what's gone before and dream of what's ahead. Even people who love their businesses need to take occasional mental breaks from what they are doing to reflect upon the past and dream of the future.
